Ecuador and Czech Republic Begin to Approach in Foreign Trade

For the first time ever, a Czech Industry Minister visits Ecuador. A memorandum of understanding was the first result of this visit, which was signed by Ecuadorian Minister of Industries, Veronica Sion, and her European couple, Martin Kuba, in Quito yesterday.

This first dialogue promoted projects for the exchange of Czech property for sectors like construction, steel and metalworking, as well as technical assistance in energy matrix.

Minister Sion also said that Ecuador seeks technical cooperation in standardization, consumer protection, trade and industrial policy from the Czech Republic.

The Czech minister said his country receives a monthly average of about $ 40 million in products such as bananas, but the record is not reflected in Ecuador because brokers make this sale. (FL)
