Ecuador seeks to renew credit with China

The Ecuadorian government seeks to renew a credit line of around 1,500 billion with The China Development Bank. The purpose of this credit would finance part of its investment plan for next year, according to what the Ministry of Finance said in a statement.

“It was also agreed to work on the renovation of a credit line by about 1,500 million dollars”, said the Ministry.

 Further details on the financial terms for new credit were not given.

In recent months, Ecuador has sought funding in order to change its energy and production matrix.
