Ecuador will pose to declare peace zone to America
With the aim that the countries resolve their disputes through negotiation, Ecuador will propose in the 44th Session of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS) to declare America a peace zone.
Marco Albuja, Ecuador’s Ambassador to the OAS said: “Ecuador considers that the areas of peace and cooperation will help to strengthen measures for confidence and security.”
In the draft proposal its is reiterated “a commitment that any State or group of States has the right to intervene, directly or indirectly, whatever the reason, in the internal or external affairs of any other country” .
Ecuador will also insist at the regional meeting on “the inviolability of the right to privacy and protection of personal data in cyberspace”, announced the Ecuadorian diplomat.
