Ecuador will receive four million doses of Sinovac, after delays from China
The Ministry of Health reported that in August Ecuador will receive four million doses of the Sinovac vaccine to prevent contagion by covid-19. China will send the biologicals in two shipments, which will arrive on the 14th and 21st of this month. That is why there will be a rescheduling of the application of second doses.
The doses will be distributed within the 9/100 Vaccination Plan to complete the mass immunization of citizens in these first three months of Government. On Monday 16 they will begin to be applied to solve the inconveniences caused by the delay in China in sending the shipments planned for weeks ago.
The State portfolio also spoke out about the situation registered these days at the vaccination points, where citizens reported that there was no Sinovac vaccine to receive the second dose. In a statement, the Ministry said that starting Monday users will be reassigned to complete the vaccination process.
The doses will be supplied in companies, universities and points of the Ministry of Health.
