Ecuadorian Journalists Receive Award by King of Spain

Hernan Higuera and Antonio Narvaez received today the award of the King Juan Carlos of Spain of the International Awards of Journalism. The event was celebrated in House of America of Madrid.

Higuera and Narvaez won the Television Award for their video documentary made of the police insurrection of September 30, the documentary was called ‘September 30 Between Life and Death.’

Several other contestants from Latin America also won awards, like the Brazilian photographer Wilton de Sousa Junior for his picture “O Estado de Sao Paulo” won this category. The Bolivian journalist Fernando Molina earned the award for his article “Pensar Hispanoamerica: el inicio.” The celebration ended with a musical performance. (AV)
