Ecuadorian Police Seizes 2,5 Tons of Cocaine
During an operation on the southeast of Ecuador, the police seized 2,5 tons of cocaine, and also detained seven Ecuadorians and two Colombians. The police operative occurred on the road between the provinces of Guayas and Santa Elena, were they intercepted a truck that carried the drugs hidden inside a cargo of jute. The D.A. Jorge Solorzano informed to the press: “We have been doing intelligence work for some time and as soon as they moved, the police officers detained them when they entered the Guayas province.” The truck had come from a farm of Santa Elena.
The District Solorzano stated that one of the Colombians detained is the leader of crew. Now they are facing charges as a flagrant crime with preventive prison to all the suspects, Judge Victor Moncada did the statement.
