Eddie Murphy is Getting Closer to The Oscars

Through a press release, the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Science announced that comic actor Eddie Murphy will be the next host of The Oscar’s ceremonies gala, in its 84th issue.

The film institution aims to rejuvenate its retransmission offering a more diverse racial and streamline the ceremony, with the objective of reaching a wider audience.

Murphy, who was once nominated for the Oscar as supporting actor in Dreamgirls, said he was “greatly honored to join this huge list of hosting the Academy Awards.

“I am looking forward to work with Brett Ratner to create a show that is fun for the fans as well as home to the Kodak theater audience.
