Elizabeth Taylor once said that the three loves of her life were Mike Todd, Richard Burton and jewelry. That is why she not only knew how to collect marriages, but also beautiful jewelry, currently valued at 21 million euros.
The complete collection will be auctioned between December 13th to 16th, after a world tour at Christie´s headquarters in Moscow, Hong Kong, Dubai, Geneva, Paris, London, Los Angeles and finally New York where they will be exposed for 10 days before the auction.
This compilation includes works of art, jewelry, clothing and gifts from the contemporary film diva.
“When I die and they go off to auction I hope whoever buys them gives them a really good home,” wrote the actress in her memoir called “My love affair with jewelry.”
Part of the proceeds will go to The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation (ETAF), an organization founded by actress in 1991 by then fight against AIDS.
