Emapag decides the future of Interagua
So far, the Municipal Water Company (Emapag) has not decided yet whether to continue the contract with Interagua, when the term ended last Friday the latest extension granted for the concessionaire of water and sewerage services to certify the work done in the city.
At any time, it is expected a statement that determines whether or not Interagua will continue offering its services.
In the middle of last year, the concessionaire stated that they would not continue investing in works until the state agency increases water rates from $ 0.55 to $ 0.82 per cubic meter of liquid.
Following this announcement, the City Hall informed Interagua to begin the process of termination of contract with the Municipal company, whose work should be kept for 18 years. Sixty days were extended so it could correct its posture.
