Emelec will face Liga de Quito on the 13th date
The Ecuadorean soccer championship will have its 13th date this weekend, and 14th on Wednesday, before going on a recess to allow the two final games of the South American qualifiers of the Brazil World Cup 2014, on October 11 and 14.
The 13th date starts tomorrow at 12:00 with the duel between rivals: Universidad Catolica and El Nacional in Quito. Both teams need to win to stay in the fight for the first place and for defining the championship against Emelec, who won the first stage and earned that right.
At 1:45pm Independente and Barcelona will play in Sangolquí. This game is also very important for both teams, because the winner will continue with strong aspirations of stellar positions that will allow them classify to international tournaments.
Tomorrow, at 4:00pm Emelec will receive Liga de Quito in the Capwell Stadium. If the local team wins, they would remain in first place, currently shared with Catolica, and will keep the possibility on becoming champion without a playing a finale, the blue team’s objective.
With less prominence, at 18:00 Macara plays withCuenca, and on Sunday at 12:00, the Quito plays at home against the Manta. The match between Liga de Loja and Quevedo was postponed by the participation of the Southerners in the South American Cup.
The 14th date will be played on Wednesday, October 2 and the championship will be paralyzed until October 20.
