Employees gather data for complaints against the China International Water & Electric Corp.
In order to complete the required documentations to file a complaint at the Ministry of Labour against China International Water & Electric Corp. (CWE), in charge of civil works in the Toachi-Pilatón project, workers and former workers of the company came together yesterday in the capital.
Paul Vinueza, their representative, said that not only they are gathering the documentation of people who would have been affected by the non-payment of workers profits since 2012, but for incorrect payments for compensations, even since 2010.
On August 11, Jorge Rodriguez, president of the Anti-Corruption Commission, delivered to the representative of the Regional Labour Directorate a complaint with information about the concealment of CWE, on the non-payment of workers profits for $32 million.
William Gallo, CWE worker until December 2015, explained that for three years and eight months of work he received a lower compensation than that of many others who worked the same time.
