Posted On 24 Jun 2014
Pamela Troya and Gabriela Correa yesterday delivered a protective action to the Constitutional Court (CC), with the hope thatfinally gay marriage is legal in Ecuador. They must wait 15 to 20 days to know whether the action meets all the requirements.
Now the couple remains positive even though this is the last resort before going to international courts. “We hope that now justice is done and they can realize the violation to which part of homosexual persons in our country are still subjected,” Troya said.
Similarly, Diego Celi and Darwin Adrianza will go on June 30 to the Civil Registry of Machala. Eventually, the couple said that in the future they will also require adequate legal protection for all types of families.
