EU has prohibited to buy Russian sovereign bonds

Europeans could be banned to buy new Russian sovereign bonds if the ambassadors of the European Union adopt a package of additional sanctions that would begin to discuss on Monday by the military role of Russia in Ukraine, said three sources of the block.

Stricter actions in the use of technology with military and civilian applications could be included in the package of sanctions, he added.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who headed orders for a tougher response from the EU, declared that Russia’s behavior in Ukraine should not go unanswered, even if sanctions hurt the German economy, dependent on importation of Russian gas.
