Evo Morales starts campaign for presidential elections in October
Bolivian President Evo Morales, launches this Friday afternoon in La Paz his campaign for the general elections in October in which is shaping up as a favorite for a third consecutive term until 2020.
The Movement to Socialism (MAS) led by Morales, the first indigenous president of Bolivia and leader of the coca growers, plans to concentrate a crowd in a square in La Paz, in what will be the start of his campaign, told to AFP Pascual Guarachi , head of the ruling parliamentary bloc.
“The Movement Toward Socialism proclaims its candidate for president in a ceremony attended by social activists and organizations around the country,” said Guarachi.
Evo Morales and Vice President Álvaro García Linera go for a third term for the period 2015-2020, with the economic achievements of his government as the main weapon to conquer once again the electorate. (AFP)
