Fair seeks to replace a 25% of imported toys for national
Manufacturers, distributors and toy importers, along with the Chamber of industries of Guayaquil,launched yesterday the fair Play Ecuador, which seeks that 70 local artisans and about 20 entrepreneurs dedicated to the manufacture of toys, expose their offer and become providers of eight large distributors.
The fair, which will be held in Guayaquil the next March 25-26, comes as part of the compromise between several companies and the Ministry of industry and productivity (Mipro), to reduce the importation of toys by a 25%, equivalent to about USD 16 million in this year.
Firms seeking to replace its imports in this category are: Corporacion Favorita, Corporación El Rosado, Alessa, Gerardo Ortiz, stores aunt, Pica, Farcomed and update.
