Final candidates will host some of the plans of their former rivals
Posted On 27 Mar 2017
Lenin Moreno (AP) and Guillermo Lasso (CREO-SUMA) assure that they will execute certain work plans of their former opponents.
Moreno says that he will adopt some ideas of Ivan Espinel (Fuerza Social Commitment); and Lasso, of Cynthia Viteri (PSC), Paco Moncayo (ANC), Abdalá Bucaram (FE), Patricio Zuquilanda (SP) and Washington Pesántez (Ecuadorian Union).
Only the presidential candidate of AP has formalized his commitment in an agreement he signed on March 9 with Espinel, who also participates in his campaign.
Moreno ‘will take’ some points of Espinel´s program related to health, youth and fight against corruption. In fact, for the first two, he expects to have the former candidate as an ‘adviser’ to his government.
For his part, Lasso will execute some proposals of the five former hopefuls with whom he has not signed any agreement.
He will promote Viteri´s housing plan, which consists of selling houses, without a down payment, to a 20 years term and with installments of up to $ 150 per month.
As well as Moncayo´s initiative to provide drinking water to several cities of the country.
Lasso will also sponsor some other points of PK and UP, members of the National Agreement for Change (ANC). Of the first, the prior consultation for extraction of resources. From the second, the restitution of the UNE and the ‘return’ of the unemployment fund to teachers.
