Fires Reactivated in Chilla and Pasochoa
Posted On 12 Sep 2012
Wildfires supposedly extinct are being reactivated in the Chilla Canton, of el Oro province, and in the Pasochoa Ecological Reserve, southeast of the city of Quito.
Right now, members of the affected communities, firefighters, and military members, are fighting the flames.
The Chilla Mayor, Richard Cartuche, says he is very concerned about the unsteadiness of the situation.
Meanwhile in the Pasochoa, more than 40 firefighters from Guayas, Pichincha and Tungurahua attempt to extinguish the revived fire. (MZ)
