Posted On 24 Aug 2016

The Latin America Awards Green were inaugurated this morning at the Isabella Hall of the Hilton Colon Hotel by Mayor Jaime Nebot, representatives of the CAF, representatives of Ecuador for the United Nations, among other international organizations.
For three days, from Tuesday to Thursday 25 of this month, the 30 finalist projects (four Ecuadorians) in ten categories and 500 selected from a total of 1,407 projects from 25 countries will be exhibited.
This is the third consecutive year that this recognition of environmental practices is held in the city.
The award ceremony will take place on Thursday 25. Winners will be chosen among three finalists in each category. Winners will have the opportunity to access non-reimbursable funds.
The green financing forum will be held the same day with representatives of the most renowned funds for social and environmental impact projects, who will explain more about fundraising mechanisms for their projects.
Entrepreneurs and banana entrepeneurs from several Ecuadorian provinces and other countries attended the exhibition to learn about the projects and to find one they might apply. Admission is free.
