Four solutions propose the Ecuadorian banana produces regarding the coronavirus situation
Four solutions to address the effects of the coronavirus in the banana sector mentioned José Antonio Hidalgo, executive director of the Association of Banana Exporters of Ecuador (AEBE), in a statement.

Four solutions pose Ecuadorian banana growers before coronavirus
They propose that the banana sector cancel the income tax semiannually and not every month in order to continue managing a normal flow of chain purchase
They also urge the Government “immediately” to implement the regulation for the incentive of automatic return (drawback), approved in the Tax Regime Law, last December.
“This will help to provide financial resources to the banana export chain and thus maintain the normal flow of foreign exchange,” said Hidalgo.
Other of the solutions they propose is to ask the public banks for pre and post-shipment credit lines to exporters.
“This week we have called the CFN (National Financial Corporation) so that it can present its financial products to our banana affiliates,” said Hidalgo.
The meetings will be held on March 11 in Guayaquil and 18 in Machala.
Also, the AEBE proposes to simplify the procedure of entry and exit at customs to avoid delays to the container logistics chain.
“The situation of the affected countries is worrying, the stoppage of imports and internal distribution prevents the arrival of the products (…). The situation tends to get worse, ”said Hidalgo.
