Francisco surprises with a phone call
Besides his humility and austerity, Pope Francis continues breaking schemes. Today thousands of Argentines had a big surprise while they were gathered in the Plaza de Mayo in Buenos Aires.
The Supreme Pontiff wanted to thank them for their support, through a phone call that was transmitted through the screens. “I know you are praying, thank you for the prayers”, said Francisco.
Francisco also asked a favor: “let’s all walk together, care for each other, take care of you, don”t do harm”.
Around 40,000 people participated in the vigil for the enthronement with a mass father officiated by Father César and “The Sinners” an ecclesiastical rock band from Argentina, which this time counted with the collaboration of the María Auxiliadora congregation.
Attendees, who were mostly young people were carrying Argentine and Vatican flags, as well as flags with the symbol of the soccer club San Lorenzo, which is Jorge Bergoglio’s favorite team.
