Fuerza Ecuador, new political group of Dalo Bucaram, calls renew Constituent Assembly

Dalo Bucaram, Former National Director of the extinct Partido Roldosista Ecuatoriano (PRE), spoke with Expreso newspaper about the foundation of his new political group, Ecuador Force (FE for its Spanish acronym, meaning faith in English), which has no relation with religion, but with the strength and hope of the country, he said.

The organization will present a 10-point manifesto that includes a call for a new Constituent Assembly, for the purpose that 2008 rights are respected.

According to the politician, 32, the National Electoral Council obeyed the government orders to cancel the PRE of the voter registration. “It was an abuse, it opens a new scenario and era. FE will strengthen the main core of our struggle, which is the defense of the poor,” he said.

The son of the Former President of Ecuador Abdalá Bucaram , said that the country is divided between the old partidocracy, which destroyed the democracy in Ecuador with State coups, and the “new oligarchy composed of new rich in the power.”
