Garcia Marquez is hospitalized in Mexico

The Colombian writer, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Literature Nobel Prize, has been hospitalized in Mexico, according to doctors from the National Institute of Nutrition “Salvador Zubirán”, in a report to international media.

Doctors reported that García Márquez was interned on Thursday morning. Unofficially, it was known that the writer would have pneumonia.

“The family members have asked us not to provide further information regarding his health,” said one of the health officials to The Associated Press.

Enrique Peña Nieto, Mexico’s President, confirmed the news  with a message via twitter.
