Glas no longer feels part of the Government

He accuses the media of lynching but resorts to it. Yesterday, Vice President Jorge Glas took refuge in the press to give his version and defend himself against the possible link in the investigation by illicit association conducted by the Attorney General´s office.
The vice president began his day giving an interview to a radio station in Quito. He then spoke with reporters who were summoned by his communication team.
Glas refuses to acknowledge that he has had a political, administrative or any other responsibility in the irregularities detected during his tenure in the strategic sectors from 2007 to 2016, in the Government of former President Rafael Correa.
He rather repeats that he is the victim of a persecution orchestrated by the media, the political opposition and people close to President Lenin Moreno, whom he prefers not to name.
Therefore, he considered that this is not his Government and referred to the new administration as “the Government that is in power at the moment.” Who does he represent then? “I represent the Ecuadorians.
