Google’s Cr-48 notebook
Google’s Cr-48 notebook is a reality, it boots up within 10 seconds and it runs on Google Chrome’s operating system, which is a richer version of Chrome browser.
“Chrome notebooks are designed to reach the web instantly,” wrote Google in a December 7 blog post. The Cr-48 enhances fast web browsing experience that’s why it comes with built-in WiFi and 3G, it also comes in a comfortable 12-inch screen size.
“Last year, we announced our effort to design an operating system that is built and optimized for the web. Many people already spend all their time in a web browser, and by building an operating system that is essentially a browser, we can make computers faster, much simpler and fundamentally more secure,” wrote Google.
According to Google’s vision, desktop applications will not be needed in the future, they will be easily replaced by web apps that will help users to complete their computing tasks much faster.
