Government extended the delivery of the hydroelectric plant Toachi Pilatón to 315 days

With a resolution subscribed on 24 December 2014, the government extended by 10 months and a half the delivery time of the Hydroelectric Project Toachi Pilatón to the Chinese company CWE.
The State will also cover the additional costs in wich the firm will incur for the delay in the start of the project operations.
The expansion of 315 days of the work was realized with the resolution CELEC EP-GGE-0237-14, which was signed by the manager of the Electricity Corporation of Ecuador (Celec EP), Eduardo Barredo.
The Toachi Pilatón project will have two hydroelectric power plants (Sarapullo and Alluriquín) and will have a total capacity of 254.4 megawatts (MW), equivalent to a quarter of the power of the Paute center.
