Government of Rajoy urges Catalonia to dialogue by the consultation of independence
The Spanish Prime Minister, Mariano Rajoy, urged this Saturday to Catalonia to discuss and keep “together”, a day after the region announced that maintains the independence referendum on November 9 despite having been declared illegal by the Court constitutional.
“The law and dialogue, these are the solution to this situation in Catalonia,” said the conservative Mariano Rajoy before members of the Popular Party, apparently favoring the calmness facing the independence challenge of this powerful region.
“I want to stay together”, has launched to the Catalans, but “nobody is above the law,” has repeated.
Rajoy called for dialogue “be make on the play field where we all fit that is the law”, this time without threatening to the Catalan President Artur Mas with further legal action.
