Government plans to provide this year $ 10 million for forestry incentives

The Government expects to deliver this year about $ 10 million to the program of nonrefundable forestry incentives with commercial purposes, according to Pablo Noboa, Undersecretary of Forestry Production from the Ministry of Agriculture.
The program provides financial incentives to individuals and companies of up to 75% of the cost of the property during the first 4 years, and for up to 100% to associations .
María Soledad Barrera, President of the National Finance Corporation, said that until May of this year were given $ 36 million in funding to reforesters that will be allocated to 16 thousand hectares of timber species such as teak, balsa and melina.
