Government supporters will not respond with a countermarch on Thursday
Posted On 23 Jun 2015
In Guayaquil, representatives of the political groups that form the United Front gathered to show their support for government policies and made a call to the public to join the national dialogue and not fall “into the lies and misinformation,” reason why they will not make a countermarch this Thursday, the same day the mayor of Guayaquil, Jaime Nebot, convened a concentration.
Fabian Solano, president of the United Front and Assemblyman for the Bolivar province, said they plan supportive demonstrations, but these will be after the visit of Pope Francis, since they claim they seek “social peace” and they would never jeopardize their militants.
