The plenary of the Council of Citizen Participation and Social Control (CPC for its Spanish acronym) will convene the Citizen Selection Commission, which performs the partial replacement contest of two delegationships of the National Electoral Council (CNE for its Spanish acronym), to explain how the merits were scored.
The counselor David Rosero requested the explanation of the commission in the plenary on the qualification process, and President Fernando Cedeno, accepted such request, although he criticized the monitoring group.
In recent days, the group Citizen Monitoring, composed by women’s groups, denounced possible irregularities in the rating of the merits of various candidates to be a member of the CNE.
