Guayaquil will remain without water for 28 hours

Guayaquil, Ecuador’s most populous city, will suffer a water cut of 28 hours as a result of the repair of a section of the aqueduct located at the Luis Carlos Plaza Dañin Av. and Francisco Boloña Street.

The suspension of this service, which will affect more than 60 sectors, will start today at 18:00 until Saturday at 22:00. Besides this, it will be closed the vehicular traffic during the time of the water cut.

The service that is in charge of Interagua company, announced the repair of a pipe of 1,500 mm of diameter, which will provide an  water supply service to different areas of the city. The company will also provide alternative supply water by tanker to special institutions such as health centers and hospitals.

Like the last repair this sector suffered, staff of the Ecuador Transit Commission (CTE) will control traffic during the repair.
