Guillermo Lasso Does Not Define his Presidential Candidacy

Guillermo Lasso, former president of Banco de Guayaquil has not yet decided to run for presidential candidate in 2013 elections, it was announced today in an interview with the Ecuadorian TV channel Ecuavisa.

Lasso will meet with political leaders like Paco Moncayo, Carlos Vera, Andres Paez, Lourdes Tibán, Martha and Betty Amores Roldós with the purpose to participate in a forum organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Quito this Thursday.

The former banker would have shown his political intentions months ago but now Lasso said that this possibility is affected because Rafael Correa has a powerful information infrastructure and the difficulty that would face in the polls with the current president.  (PLS)
