Investigation request to Podemos Congressman Rafael Mayoral for money he received from Ecuador

Clean Hands has filed a complaint before the Supreme Court against the leader of the Podemos party Pablo Iglesias and other members for alleged irregular funding pointing at Ecuador as the third country, along with Iran and Venezuela, that could have given unlawful grants to the party.

Specifically, Clean Hands included Podemos Congressman Rafael Mayoral in its accusations as recipient of more than 750,000 euros from the “Bolivarian” government of Rafael Correa through the corporate society KINEMA.

The Criminal Chamber of the high court has to rule on whether to admit this complaint to process, since there´s a contrary Prosecution report to the investigation for not finding the alleged facts that constitute an criminal offense.

Now the Public Ministry and the Board must take into account these new data to reach a final decision, legal sources have reported.
