Ecuadornews:
Former Vice-President León Roldós agreed that the mayor of Guayaquil Jaime Nebot exposes to President Lenin Moreno the kind of central state the country requires but asked for “a greater emphasis on the demand for total transparency and no tolerance to corruption.”
Moreno confirmed his presence; the mayor said that the president could attend in the company of the people of his cabinet.
Roldós, who was also invited to the event, hopes that Moreno does not invite Vice President Jorge Glas. “Evading to appear in a political trial that supports the arguments of those who question him (he preferred the short cut of non-admissibility), and offending the Legislators of the political opposition, calling them hysterical, are behaviors considered of disrespect and cowardice that in no way correspond to an honorable Guayaquil citizen.” (I)
