Juan Pio Montufar case proceedings continue
The case derived from the student protest that took place last February, at the Juan Pio Montufar School, for the relocation of fifteen teachers of this center to other educational institutions, continued yesterday among appeals, students resigned to their sanctions and students that resumed their studies.
Gonzalo Criollo, who is still presented as president of the Student Council of the Montufar School, was one of the students disciplined with the measure of relocation that attended the Eloy Alfaro District Education headquarters to file his appeal. According to him, the sanctions “are unfair” because, he said, “there is no evidence” that identifies him as guilty.
Criollo said he will graduate from the Montufar school and therefore he will not attend the Amazonas School, an institution to which he was transferred, after education authorities defined he made a very serious offense.
