Judge sentence to prison to legislator Cléver Jiménez
Posted On 22 Mar 2014
The national judge Lucy Blacio yesterday issued ballots of imprisonment to the Assemblyman of Pachakutik Cléver Jiménez; his Adviser, Fernando Villavicencio, and political activist Carlos Figueroa. The police headquarters should locate the sentenced and, once apprehended, transferred to the jail No. 4.
President Rafael Correa said on Saturday broadcast the following: “this morning reported to me that was captured, to fulfilled his sentence, the citizen Cléver Jiménez”. At the same time, the governmental news agency Andes announced that Jimenez had already been captured in the capital.
However, Julio César Sarango, lawyer of the three sentenced and the prefect of Zamora Chinchipe, Salvador Quishpe, denied to the average officer alleging that the sentenced still in liberty.
At the end of his Saturday broadcast, the President rectified the information.
