Judgment to Maria Fernanda Espinosa must continue, according to opposition and correístas

The appointment as president of the general assembly of the United Nations (UN) does not exempt María Fernanda Espinosa from the political responsibility of her actions in the crisis of the northern border, therefore, the impeachment in the National Assembly should continue.
This was pointed out by the legislators of the PSC and CREO who filed a request for impeachment last week. The Legislative Administrative Council is still expected to verify compliance with the requirements.
The legislator Gabriela Rivadeneira (before AP), said that Espinosa owes an explanation to the country about the problems of the northern border that caused a social upheaval, and that put the security of Ecuador at risk.
Cristina Reyes (PSC) said that it is a victory for Espinosa and not for Ecuadorians, and that more than explaining her “ineffectiveness” in the border crisis should indicate how much was spent in the international lobby. (I)
