Judiciary Council suspends prosecutor Thania Moreno

The Judiciary Council has decided, “within the framework of its powers,” to notify the deputy prosecutor Thania Moreno, the “temporary sanction of her position, as a precautionary measure.”

This is given by the complaints filed against the prosecutor Moreno. However, the Judiciary Council clarifies that the temporary suspension of Moreno “does not constitute an advance payment of sanctions or criteria and guarantees due process in relation to the complaints that said official has received against her.”

Through a press conference, today afternoon, the deputy prosecutor said she will not resign her position despite the “intimidation.” (I)
