During an official visit to the town of Grimsby, the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, gave a clue that might confirm she’s going to give birth a baby girl who will be heir to the British crown.

Several witnesses heard when a groupie gave to Kate a teddy bear. The Duchess accidentally mentioned the letter D,stood for daughter, but stopped before finishing the sentence and changed the words for “the baby”.

“I just gave her the teddy bear; I could plainly hear Kate saying “Thank you, I’ll take that for my d…”, when thanking the gift. Then just stopped and corrected and said  ‘the baby’. And when she shook hands with me, I said “Did you say my daughter?” She smiled and said: ‘Ahh…no, no, no, no. I’m sure [I didn’t say ‘my daughter’], I’m sure. We don’t know!“. So I joked and said, ‘I think you do,‘ said Sandra Cook.

Although the royal family is aware of the sex of the baby, the couple would not want to go public, and only would have revealed the secret to their parents.

The birth of the eldest child of Prince William and his wife is scheduled for July.
