King of Spain reveals loan to the Infanta Cristina
Posted On 03 Sep 2013

After several media commented on the suspicious transfer of King Juan Carlos to his daughter, the Infanta Cristina, a spokesman for the Spanish Royal House informed yesterday the reason for the bank transfer.
In 2004, King Juan Carlos transferred $ 1.6 million from his personal account of his second daughter, Cristina, as a loan so she can buy a house in Barcelona (Spain) with her husband, Iñaki Urdangarin, who is currently being investigated for corruption and embezzlement.
The information is connected to a document from the Spanish Tax Agency incorporated to the ‘case Noos’, under investigation for the alleged diversion of 6 million euros of public money to a foundation headed by Urdangarin.
