The Labrador Retriever, by 23rd consecutive year, placed itself as the favorite breed in the United States, announced on Friday the American Kennel Club.
German shepherds, Golden Retrievers, Beagles and Bulldogs are kept constant in the first fiver positions, with the Yorkshire Terriers, Boxers, Poodles, Rottweilers and Dachshunds continuously occupying the top 10, according to the list of 2013.
The Labrador is considered to be a friendly dog, easy to train.
The Canine Association does not give exact figures but estimates that his record includes more than 40 million of diga of pure breed throughout its history.
