Lasso says he sent a report on the country’s electoral situation to the OAS Secretary

Guillermo Lasso, Ecuador’s presidential hopeful, assured that he sent the Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro, reports on the country’s electoral situation.
In an interview on the Ecuavisa television channel, Lasso said he had been the victim of a dirty campaign orchestrated, in his opinion, by his opponent Lenin Moreno, of the pro-government Alianza País (AP) party, who also speaks of a nasty campaign against him, which he attributes to the right.
Lasso said that he sent Almagro “the whole story of what is happening in Ecuador, a prior scenario to an attempt of fraud, that the world has to know, I can not go to the correist institutions because they control them.”
About 12.8 million voters are called to the polls next Sunday to choose between Moreno, of the Alianza Pais party and Lasso, of the Creando Oportunidades party. The current President, Rafael Correa, will leave power on May 24.
