Latin American countries reject violence between Israel and Palestine

Posted On 31 Jul 2014

soldados-israelAfter Ecuador condemned the violence of the conflict between Israel and Palestine; countries like Brazil, Peru, Chile and El Salvador followed this line forcing a public statement by the Foreign Ministry of the Government of Benjamin Netanyahu.

Israel yesterday issued a statement assuring that the country was “disappointed” by a position, to which pointed out to be “irresponsible.” He also called on countries that condemn terrorism, to be consistent with their actions.

Israel’s relations with Latin America had increased in the last decade and trade had grown.

Yigar Palmor, spokesman for Israel, said: “Latin America, rather than trying to find a solution, turns its back on Israel”.
