Let the New Reign Begin
“An inspiring crown for an inspiring Queen” say the organizers of the 2010 Guayaquil Queen Pageant about the jewelry the beautiful winner will receive when she becomes the successor of the current Queen Mariana Calderón on September 30th. The nineteen aspiring Queens will meet the crown today at 16:15 in the Marge jewelry located in Policentro Shopping Center. Daniella Kronfle, Ecuadorian, has designed the crown. This year the Encuentro por el Futuro (Union for the Future) foundation, directed by Carlos Piechestein, organized the pageant.
From now on, the crown will be inherited from one Queen to another. “The new sovereign will wear the crown during her reign year and at the end of it she will have to give it to her successor, but she will receive an equal value jewel designed by Daniella Kronfle as a memoir of her reign period.” Explained the organization.
The jewel is handmade and covered in 18-carat white gold and 925 silver; it will also have blue topaz and white sapphire decorations. Due to its elaboration, the estimated price for this piece of jewelry is $15,000.
