WOJTYLA, THE MUSICAL in Guayaquil

It begun in Buenos Aires, Argentina and now in Guayaquil, Ecuador it will recreate Holiness Pope John Paul II´s life.

From Lolek  to Juan Pablo II, “WOJTYLA, THE MUSICAL” seeks to revive and to show one of the most recognized man of a  XX century from a perspective quite different from the familiar. Far away from the views and musical biographies to tell a less well-known period in life of Karol Wojtyla : his youth.

Portraits in a Poland haunted by the Nazi regime and its fall, by the arrival of Communism to power. We could see his life faced losses, pain and love. His passion for theater, literature, his patriotism and his priestly vocation.

Lolek  was associated with people whose spirituality was decisive. Jan Tyanovsky for example a tailor who lead his vocation through the St. Juan de la Cruz´s poetry.  “Wojtyla” doesn´t try to tell a chronological biography, this is a tribute with some authors’ licenses to the heart of a man who try to change the world.

It will be on stage from 8 to 15 October in the Theatre Arts Center for the general public as well as functions to the Catholic movements, parishes and schools then they will continue to Colombia, Peru and Europe.
