Limited amount of money for travelers leaving Ecuador enters into force

Since last Saturday travelers who left the country could only take up to $ 1,098 in cash, according to the Law for the Balance of Public Finances published in the Official Gazette on Friday.
$ 10,000 was the previous amount allowed to travel.
In Guayaquil, travelers like Xavier Alvarez, who yesterday flew with his family to New York (United States), said that he only took $ 500 in cash and he would resort to banking transactions during the month he would stay.
