Lucio Gutierrez Explains Key Points for his Electoral Campaign

Former president Lucio Gutierrez, in an interview with Radio Centro, anticipated the basis on which his election campaign will be held, with the presidency as the objective.

“In my administration I will remove the taxes imposed by this irrational government that punishes the middle class and pulverize the poor. I will also ask for a visa to foreign people; drug dealers and hit men will stay in their countries. The law for weapons and guns shall be reformed, so that honest people can carry guns thereby not only the hitmen will have access to those”.

Gutierrez reported that meetings were held with social movements and political parties in search of a single opposition candidate.

However, he says that if no agreement is reached with the other opposition parties, the Sociedad Patriotica party will participate on its own in the 2013 elections. (MZ)
