Management Commission of the University of the Arts announced its resignation

Although the news was unofficially rumored for several weeks, on Friday the resignation of the Management Commission of the University of the Arts was made official.

Ana Longoni, Counselor of Research and Postgraduate Studies, George Yudice, Counselor of International Relations and of the Community and Alicia Ortega, Academic Director of the institution, presented a letter in which they stated they would not continue to be part of this. The reasons, according to the letter, were that “the ability to define policies and the decision making of the Management Commission were increasingly undermined, making our position unsustainable.”

The Coordinator Counselor of Knowledge and Human Resource issued a statement to President Rafael Correa, in which he accepted the resignation and said he will announce the new members in the coming days.
