Marches against amendments return
Posted On 11 Nov 2015
The labor unions and the national indigenous leadership return today to the streets after the march of September 16. But these have not been rest days, says Eduardo Ortega, president of the Democratic Federation of Workers of Guayas and provincial spokesman of the Unitary Workers Front (FUT).
In Guayas they have taken advantage to organize courses, lectures, meetings and visits to trade unions to discuss the government’s proposals on labor issues and particularly the amendments to the Constitution. Is the rejection and the order to file the amendments what motivates today’s demonstrations.
