Two symbolc shutdowns were made yesterday during the march of workers unions opposed to the Government: one in the Constitutional Court and the other in the National Assembly.

This, according to leader Edwin Bedoya, because “they have failed to comply with the mandates of the Constitution and people and they have rather been accomplices and accessories of this whole series of violations that have resulted in layoffs and a series of laws that are make more expensive the lives of Ecuadorians.”

The march began at 16:30 in the social security headquarters, demonstrators walked along the avenues 10 de Agosto, Patria and 12 de Octubre. On their way they shouted slogans against constitutional court judges, the government and when passing by the Attorney´s office “Out, Chiriboga, out” could be heard.
