Massive march supports Moreno´s referendum and calls for resignation of Glas

The Workers’ Unitary Front (FUT), Ecuador’s largest labor federation, yesterday carried out a massive march through the streets of Quito to express their support for the possible call for a referendum and against the previous government of Rafael Correa.
Demonstrators expressed their support to a referendum, raised by the current president, Lenin Moreno, Correa’s successor and coreligionist, but who has made a difference and has maintained a strong verbal and political confrontation with his predecessor.
Today’s march also called for the resignation of the country’s vice president, Jorge Glas, who held the same position in the government of Correa and is currently facing serious allegations of corruption (I).
